Who is Robin Westman? Minneapolis School Shooting Suspect Identified
By : Mahi
Police confirmed a mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning, leaving two children dead.
Authorities identified the shooter as Robin M. Westman, previously known as Robert Paul Westman before a legal name change in 2019.
Police said Westman carried three firearms — a rifle, a pistol, and a shotgun — all of which were purchased legally.
Court records show Westman’s mother, Mary Grace, petitioned for a legal name change in 2019, stating her child identified as female.
Disturbing YouTube videos linked to Westman surfaced before being removed, showing weapons, writings, and a planned manifesto.
Police Chief Brian O’Hara confirmed investigators are reviewing a manifesto timed for release online, containing troubling details.
Seventeen people were injured in the attack, including 14 children. Two remain in critical condition, according to hospitals.
Authorities said the shooter committed suicide at the scene. The motive and connection to the school remain under investigation.
