Office Depot Fires Employee After Refusing to Print Charlie Kirk Posters
By : Mahi
Office Depot has fired an employee at its Portage, Michigan store after a viral video showed staff refusing to print vigil posters.
The posters were meant to honor conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was tragically shot while speaking at a Utah event.
In the video, a store manager is heard saying, “We don’t print propaganda,” while refusing the customer’s order.
The video, posted online Friday, quickly went viral—racking up over 4 million views on X and sparking heated debate.
The customer explained the posters were for a vigil, but the manager doubled down, labeling them “political propaganda.”
Backlash online grew rapidly, with many demanding that Office Depot address the situation and hold employees accountable.
Office Depot said it launched an “immediate internal review” and confirmed the employee involved is no longer with the company.
The company apologized, calling the behavior “unacceptable and insensitive,” and promised better training for all staff.
Office Depot emphasized its values of respect, integrity, and customer service, saying communities deserve nothing less.
