Nebraska survived a nail-biting finish to beat Cincinnati 20-17 at Arrowhead Stadium, thanks to a clutch interception with 34 seconds left.
Quarterback Dylan Raiola threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, setting the pace for Nebraska’s offense in the high-stakes matchup.
Running back Emmett Johnson added balance with 108 rushing yards, while Dane Key and Nyziah Hunter each hauled in TD catches.
Cincinnati QB Brendan Sorsby struggled through the air with just 69 passing yards but kept his team alive with 96 rushing yards and 2 scores.
A costly first-half fumble by the Bearcats set up a Nebraska touchdown, flipping momentum and sending Cincinnati into halftime down 13-3.
Sorsby rallied in the second half, engineering two quick TD drives to cut the deficit to 20-17 and give the Bearcats late-game hope.
With under a minute left, Huskers corner Malcolm Hartzog Jr. redeemed a prior penalty by intercepting Sorsby in the end zone to seal the win.
Despite the game being marked as a Cincinnati “home” matchup, Arrowhead Stadium felt 95% Nebraska red, fueling the Huskers’ energy.
