For over 100 years, Annunciation Church has been a spiritual and cultural anchor in south Minneapolis, uniting faith and community.

The church, founded in 1922, began with its first Mass and quickly became a centerpiece for Catholic families in the area.

Alongside the church stands Annunciation School, serving preschool to 8th grade with academics, service, and Catholic values.

The school offers an International Baccalaureate curriculum, daily religion classes, and service projects for every grade.

Enrollment once peaked at 1,100 in the 1960s, but now about 340 students continue the school’s proud legacy of faith and learning.

Since 1998, Annunciation has supported a sister school in Haiti, showing its commitment to service beyond Minneapolis.

Every fall, the parish hosts SeptemberFest, its biggest gathering, blending faith, family fun, and local community traditions.

Despite challenges, the church and school remain a source of faith, education, and hope for families across generations.
